My name is Hunter Lowery
As a native of Sacramento, California, I grew up surrounded by animals, developing a deep appreciation for the special bond between pets and their owners. During my teenage years, I turned this passion into a small pet-sitting and dog-walking business within my community. After earning my Master’s in Business from Pepperdine University, I set out to combine my passion for animals with my business expertise, which ultimately led to the creation of Skoot.
The idea for Skoot was inspired by my own experience of being separated from my pet while working in San Francisco. Existing transportation options were expensive and inconvenient, revealing a need for a more accessible and dependable solution. In response, I founded Skoot—a long-distance pet transportation service designed to provide a safe, affordable, and comfortable travel experience for pets, keeping them connected to their families.
With Skoot, my mission is to transform pet transportation by prioritizing safety, comfort, and connection. I strive to provide a service that strengthens the bond between pets and their families, delivering peace of mind and lasting memories. 🚙💙

Adrienne Rigsby
Lead Pet Transport Specialist
Originally from Indiana, Adrienne has devoted her life to being surrounded by animals. Majoring in Primatology, she graduated from Indiana University while spending summers working at the local petting zoo. She began her early career as a zookeeper working with a large variety of animals from owls to monkeys to giraffes and everything in between. Eager to learn as much as possible about all species, she also volunteered at animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers, focusing on domestic animals. In 2010, she followed her now-husband out west, pursuing her dream of living in the mountains. She found herself thriving while working seasonally in vacation destinations: driving for rafting companies on rivers in CO and WY; leading sea kayaking tours in HI; running private car shuttles in the Rocky Mountains; eventually landing in Idaho, where she owned her own rafting and fishing outfitter. The Pacific Ocean was calling again in 2025 when she and her husband sold their outfitter to pursue sailing. She currently resides in San Diego, enjoying dog beach sunsets with her Pit Boxer mix, Charlotte, and her black cat, Abracadabra.
